The Best Pumpkin Picking Spots in Kent & East Sussex

Autumn and spooky season are just around the corner, and pumpkin picking has become one of the most popular family friendly activities in recent years.


With photo opportunities, trails, face painting and refreshments on offer, here is our round-up of the best pumpkin picking spots in Kent and East Sussex:

šŸŽƒ Lower Ladysden Farm, Goudhurst have a huge array of pumpkin, squash and gourd available to pick in their expansive pumpkin field. They are running their pumpkin picking event every weekend in October and throughout half term (18th - 28th October). Tickets for the pumpkin patch can be booked online with prices starting at Ā£3.09 per person (under 3's are free). They’re also running Pumpkin Nights with a chance to visit after dark on Saturday 11th and 18th October, with tickets costing Ā£5.76.


šŸŽƒĀ Ā Ā Pumpkin Moon, Maidstone / Rainham / FavershamĀ boast over 100 varieties of pumpkin, squash and gourd across their 3 sites in Maidstone, Rainham and Faversham. With ample parking, a mini maze and food and drink options available, it makes for a great day out. Tickets are Ā£2.75 per person on weekdays and Ā£3.75 on weekends with under 2s visiting for free. They are open on the weekend of 11th / 12th October and then across half term from 18th - 31st October.


šŸŽƒĀ Ā Ā Riverside Farmers / Beluncle Farm, Hoo was one of the UK's first pumpkin patches when it first opened its door in 2010. Now, it boasts photo opportunities and a range of pumpkins, squash and corn to embrace the changing seasons with. The patch is open on the weekend of 11th / 12th before opening fully from 18th - 31st October (closed on 22nd and 27th). Booking is essential and it costs Ā£10 per vehicle plus the price of whatever you pick in the field.


šŸŽƒ Country Pumpkins PYO, Bidborough is running their pumpkin event from 22nd - 28th October this year. With six hourly arrival slots available across the day, there'll be a variety of pumpkins on offer, a scarecrow trail, face painting and refreshments available. Parking / tickets must be booked in advance for Ā£1 plus a 75p booking fee, with pumpkins then available to purchase on the day.

šŸŽƒ Ā Groombridge Hill Pumpkins, Groombridge open their field on 27th September and are open on various dates in the run up to Halloween. Please check the website for specific dates. Parking costs Ā£7 / Ā£8 (depending on the date booked) and must be pre-booked, with pumpkins prices start from Ā£1.


šŸŽƒĀ Ā Ā Felderland Farm, Deal will be opening their pumpkin patch from 18th October. Expect hundreds of pumpkins and squash, play areas, photo opportunities and face painting on select dates. Booking is required and is priced at Ā£3 per adult, Ā£2 per child (2 - 12).


šŸŽƒ Riverhill Himalayan Gardens, Sevenoaks will be running its pumpkin festival between 16th - 31st October (except Mondays and Tuesdays when the site is closed), with a pumpkin hunt around the gardens and pumpkin carving in the grotto. You can either bring your own or buy one from the on-site shop. No pre-booking is required and all activities are included in the entry price of Ā£13 for adults or Ā£7.50 for children over 4 - under 4s are free.


šŸŽƒ Ā Tulley's, Turner's Hill is probably the biggest pumpkin event in the area (or perhaps even the UK!) and returns this October for its large-scale Pumpkin Festival. Boasting numerous photo opportunities, 100 varieties of pumpkin, roaming characters, an observation wheel and a variety of street food, Tulley's makes for a great day out. The fields are open between 20th September and 31st October, and tickets must be booked in advance with prices starting from Ā£8 with car parking included. PYO Pumpkin Nights are also available on a variety of dates.

šŸŽƒ Ā Broaditch Farm Shop, Southfleet is bursting with pumpkins to pick across their 3-acre site. They're offering hourly time slots between 10am - 3pm on the weekend of 11th / 12th October and then from 18th - 31st October. There's a Ā£6 booking fee per car which gives entry to the pumpkin field, use of a wheelbarrow and plenty of photo opportunities! They are also offering spooky trailer rides and pumpkin carving workshops - please see the website for more information.


šŸŽƒ Ā Little Fant Farm, Maidstone have a lovely pumpkin patch which is open every weekend and every day throughout the week of 28th - 31st October. With 20 different varieties of pumpkin and squash, as well as plenty of photo opportunities, prices start from just Ā£1. There's no booking required and free parking on offer.


šŸŽƒ Ā Lime Tree Farm,Ā BrooklandĀ are open every day in October with tons of pumpkins to choose from. There's no booking required or entry fee - just pay for what you pick - but donations for Pilgrims Hospice are welcome.

šŸŽƒ Ā The Marsh Maze, Romney Marsh open their Pumpkin Funyard from 12th - 31st October, with their bumpy express, air pillow and large selection of pumpkins. Entry is just Ā£1 with pumpkins prices dependant on size and food and drink available to purchase on site too.


šŸŽƒ Pick Your Own PumpkinĀ in Ashford, Kent runs from 11th–26th October 2026 (selected dates), supporting Young Lives vs Cancer. Visitors can choose pumpkins priced from Ā£1–£10, enjoy autumn photo moments, and take part in the Golden Pumpkin Hunt for a chance to win free pumpkins. Entry is Ā£6.99 per car, and wellies are recommended!


šŸŽƒ Ā Castle Farm, Sevenoaks has a huge array of pumpkins on offer at The Hop Shop to cook or decorate with! Though they don't offer a PYO event as such, it's a beautiful spot to visit to choose some high-quality pumpkins and browse their gorgeous gift shop. They’re open Tuesday - Sunday until 5pm with parking on site.


šŸŽƒ Priory Farm, Redhill may not technically be in Kent or Sussex, but had to make the list! Open on weekends throughout October and weekdays from 18th - 31st October, they're offering both park and pick or pumpkin tractor and trailer rides on the estate. The pumpkin field itself boasts a hay bale maze, games and photo opportunities. There’s also a spooky trail through Discovery Land if you'd like to make a day of it! Tickets start from Ā£6 when booked online.
